Environmental Care, LLC Set to Become Newest Supplier to
Green and Aquatic Industries
Valdosta, GA – Phoenix Environmental Care
LLC will become the newest player in the Green and Aquatic
Industries, with a full line of quality products available
during the course of 2005. The new company, headed by Owen
Towne, former Global Business Director of Griffin L.L.C.
Specialty Products Group, will specialize in turf, nursery,
ornamental and aquatic products.
“We will market a variety of products to
meet the needs of the Green and Aquatic Industries through
unique, quality formulations,” says Towne. “The company
will have a high level of dedicated technical support to
meet the needs of the end user and will continue to be
actively involved in both industries. Of course, product
stewardship will be a key focus of the new company.”
The initial turf, nursery and ornamental
product line will include Vital®
fungicide and proprietary Phoenix brands of
chlorothalanil, propiconazole, glyphosate and bifenthrin.
The company will also offer a proprietary
brand aquatic herbicide and algaecide as well as other
significant aquatic products.
“We are excited about bringing value
added, post-patent products to the Green and Aquatic
industries,” says Towne. “With most of the market’s
leading products in the TNO&A segment being post-patent,
Phoenix’s entry into this market provides a real opportunity
to supply products that are both technologically superior
and provide real value to the end-user.”
Towne, who was recently awarded the
Distinguished Service Award from TOCA, (The Turf and
Ornamental Communicators Association) says the Green and
Aquatic Industries can expect the same level of support from
Phoenix Environmental Care L.L.C. that he has provided
throughout his 15 years in the industry. “I am pleased to
continue providing leadership within our industry through
this exciting new company,” says Towne. “We will continue
that same commitment to giving back to the industry by
supporting organizations like AERF, ANA, APMS, GCSAA, RISE
and TOCA.
In addition to Towne, several members of
his previous team will be involved with Phoenix
Environmental Care LLC.
