Insecticide ( Acephate )

Avatar is a highly effective broad spectrum insecticide used to control a variety of troublesome turf pests. The active ingredient in Avatar ( acephate ) provides 14-21 days of control at rates ranging from .5 - 1.9 oz per 1000 sq. ft. (1.33 to 5.29 lbs/acre) Avatar is available as a 75% WP in a 1 pound water soluble bag. Some of the key insects controlled by Avatar are chinch bugs, armyworms, fire ants, cutworms, sod webworms, mole crickets, leafhoppers and black aetenius weevil. Avatar is labeled for use on golf courses, ornamental trees and shrubs, sod farms, greenhouses, outdoor floral plants, groundcover and non-crop areas.
